Curatorial Note
Imagine a world without boilers: without steam boilers the industrial revolution could not have happened or more emphatically could not have started as the textiles, the transportation, the manufacture etc. would have come to a stand still. Boilers, as hidden benefactors of industrial revolution, power our factories, warm our houses, and dictate numerous innovations. Despite that, their contribution to the formation of modern Society is hidden, but on the list of factors that define further development of humanity, and its way to industrial success, they cannot be left out. Welcome to The Heart of the Industry: Boilers Revolution is an informative digital exhibition that provides an exceptionally interactive experience taking the user through the rich history of boilers- devices that have defined industries and societies alike, as well as driven technologies forward. Boilers are often referred to as the ‘Giant Heart’ of the industrial systems and these systems have silently propelled the wheel of revolution by providing the required energy to convert the raw materials into works of modern civilization.
This exhibition links boilers from their basics at the time of the Industrial Revolution to contemporary, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly
systems. Here you will unravel how technologies in the design of boilers have evolved to meet these forces and demands-shaping the arenas of manufacture, transport, and generation of power. Using such forms as the timelines, photographs, and animated infographics, we will trace the history of the boiler development: starting from the kettle boilers up to the high pressure and energy saving systems. Moreover, we will also stress the problems connected with energy consumption, safety and environmental impact, as well as the solutions linked with these problems.

Boilers Beyond the Basics: The evolution of boilers
Steam boilers have evolved from ancient heating systems to advanced industrial technology. They powered the Industrial Revolution, shaped economies, and remain vital in energy, manufacturing, and residential heating. Modern boilers focus on efficiency, sustainability, and digitalization, integrating renewable energy and smart technologies to reduce environmental impact while maintaining essential industrial functions.
